Job Description:

The successful incumbent will lead a multi – disciplinary team, drive overall Site performance, objectives associated with employee wellbeing, production output, cost efficiency, capital projects and ensure strategic alignment of Global business activities. The role will lead and support vital transformational activities and will role model a continued drive for simplicity and accountability for “Zero Harm” while upholding the Element Six values. The role will report to the Executive Director, Operations.

Duties and tasks

  • Responsible for the formulation of the Sites strategic plan and the achievement of operational results within agreed budget parameters.
  • Integration of strategic plans with other Global Sites.
  • Accountable for the return-on-investment and adherence to budget calculations and maintenance of capex / cash controls.
  • Key link between the Site and commercial teams with decision-making around the Sites capacity and ability.
  • Ensuring that production requirements, sale forecasts, and/or budget requirements are met on-time and in full with overall responsibility of ensuring appropriate stock levels are adhered to.  
  • Streamlining and the cost-effective utilisation of all resources in furtherance of high quality and good value products and services.
  • Facilitating, guiding, supporting and/or co-ordinating Site technical development through mechanisms set at by Global.  
  • Process leadership through capacity optimisation, continuous improvement, innovation and change.

Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in Business, Engineering or Science.
  • At least 5 years’ senior production management experience in a synthesis or processing plant spanning different technologies and/or business units.
  • Proven track record to develop and achieve financial plans.
