About The Role

As a mower operator, you’ll be responsible for ensuring mowing and grounds maintenance jobs are completed to a high standard. This includes edging and hard surfaces maintenance. Various maintenance tasks such as trimming, planting, watering, fertilising, spraying, raking, aerating, mulching, weeding, and grubbing are a secondary part of your new role.

  • Conduct daily pre-start checks
  • Mow grass
  • Perform various open spaces maintenance tasks
  • Ensure all plant and equipment are used safely

About You

You can maintain a professional image while working as this role sees you interacting with a range of people from team members and clients to members of the public. Health and safety are hugely important to our client so you aren’t a “cowboy”, instead you’re the type of person who promotes a safe working environment, especially concerning the correct use of tools and equipment.

You’re flexible, adaptable to change and can prioritise tasks. Being self-motivated you can work autonomously and as part of a team.

As this role involves aspects of traffic management, STMS certification is very desirable. If you have experience with grounds maintenance in a sports turf or amenity turf environment, this is also very beneficial.

  • Class 2 Driver’s License essential
  • 2+ years experience operating a range of mowers/tractors
  • Willing to work away from the home base and on varying work shifts as required
