Job Description:
As Project Manager Infrastructure will provide services as required and your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Consistently apply Safety and Health principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for the safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities.
- Developing a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimation.
- Assembling and leading a multidisciplinary project team, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Negotiating contracts with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Assessing the delivery of the sustainability activities relevant to the Kumba strategy and discipline as set out in the Life of Asset Plan to improve sustainability performance over time.
- Maintaining a positive relationship with clients and stakeholders by addressing concerns, managing expectations, and delivering on commitments.
- Supporting the development and implementation of a purpose-led, high-performing culture within the team in alignment with the company values, inclusivity, and diversity.
- Ensuring individuals and the team have the knowledge, skills, authorities, and resources to deliver against expectations and accountability (time, people, and budget).
This role is in the Strategy and Business Development discipline at a Band 6 level reporting to Principal Technical Studies and Infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- B Degree or equivalent in a technical discipline/ Project Management
- MBA advantageous
- SA Drivers License
Experience
- Advanced experience in project management and in conducting feasibility studies on medium to high complexity projects
- Advanced commercial exposure of contract negotiations and contract conditions
- Advanced commercial exposure to dispute resolution
- Relevant experience within the Mining / Engineering / Infrastructure environment
- Advanced knowledge of working in systems and shared/digital platforms
