The University of Western Australia is offering scholarships to high-achieving students across the globe who study with us.
This significant scholarship will be awarded to high-achieving undergraduate and postgraduate students, from selected countries, who apply for particular courses at the University.
If you’re looking to study in Australia in 2023, undergraduate students can receive scholarships of up to AUD$48,000* over 4 years on eligible courses or AUD$36,000* over 3 years; postgraduate students can receive up to AUD$24,000* over two years on eligible courses.
Awarding of the Scholarship
The Scholarship is an annual tuition fee discount for the normal full-time duration of the awardee’s course as specified in their letter of offer. The value of the Scholarship is determined by the applicant’s equivalent Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or UWA weighted average mark (WAM).
This significant scholarship will be awarded to high-achieving undergraduate and postgraduate students, from selected countries, who apply for particular courses at the University.

Qualifications
The General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A-Levels) is a widely recognised academic qualification conferred in more than 125 countries.
The University of Western Australia welcomes applications from students who have completed the GCE A-Levels program. To be admitted to the University, you must:
- satisfy the University’s English language competence requirement by satisfactory performance in one of the English subjects detailed in the table below
- achieve a sufficient number of GCE A-Level points to be offered a place
- satisfy any prerequisite subject requirements for your chosen course and major
- Points are assigned on the basis that at advanced (A2) level: A*=6, A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1
- Best three Advanced Level subjects will be used in the calculation of the aggregate, with a minimum of two Advanced Level subjects to be used.
- Subjects used in the calculation of the aggregate must be passed within a period of two consecutive academic years.
- Advanced subsidiary subjects and the GCE General Paper may not be used in the calculation of the aggregate.
- In the Cambridge Overseas Higher School Certificate and its overseas derivatives, Principal Level passes are required.
