  • Preparation, support and follow-up of the event series of the Equal Opportunities Commissioner Bonn
  • Support with research, technical evaluations and the preparation of content relevant to equality
  • Supporting the Equal Opportunities Officer with administrative, commercial and administrative tasks
  • Contribution to information and knowledge management
  • Coordination and organization of tasks and appointments

Required criteria:

  • Completed commercial training 
  • Relevant professional experience in gender, intersectional equality, diversity and current feminist discourses
  • Very good knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as very good knowledge of digital communication platforms
  • Willingness and ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new topics and work processes
  • Initiative, ability to work in a team, creativity, ability to question constructively and critically
  • Fluent German and English skills

Desirable criteria:

  • Degree in gender studies, political science or social sciences 
  • Further language skills are an advantage

Deployed within the Technical Secretariat of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), the development Worker will be responsible for providing technical expertise on governance and public finance issues in general, and specifically on the systematic integration and publication of data related to the commitment of the government and mining companies to the EITI process.

  • Contribute significantly to strengthening commitment to the EITI process and data disclosure by provincial and local governments and industrial mining companies
  • Raise awareness among provincial and local administrations and private mining companies about the systematic disclosure of EITI reporting entities and the role of audit institutions and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs)
