International Alert is Recruiting – 2025

International Alert Jobs

International Alert was founded in 1986 to help people find peaceful solutions to conflicts. At that time, the number of conflicts between countries was decreasing, but the number of conflicts within countries was increasing.

International Alert both types of conflicts were hindering development and were accompanied by serious human rights violations. Identifying individual human rights violations and drawing attention to them was no longer enough; a qualitatively new approach was needed. From this need, International Alert was born.

International Alert in 1985, the Permanent International Forum on Ethnic Conflict, Development and Human Rights (SIFEC) was founded. Its purpose was to work with conflicts and alert governments and the international community to emerging crises.

International Alert, SIFEC merged with an organization that dealt with the problem of the international threat of genocide and massacres (International Alert on Genocide and Massacres). The result was International Alert in its current form.
