GIZ seeks a better life for everyone and meaningful work for our employees – that’s our model for success. For more than 50 years, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), a German Federal Government company, has been supporting the global implementation of development policy goals. Together with partner organizations in 120 countries, we are involved in a wide variety of projects. If you want to make a difference in the world and develop yourself in the process, you’ve come to the right place.
GIZ – The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is offering master’s students the opportunity to complete a six-month internship in the German Sustainability Code (DNK) project from June to December 2025. Developed by the German Council for Sustainable Development (RNE), the German Sustainability Code (DNK) has been supporting companies in their sustainability reporting since 2011.
GIZ and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) has been supporting and funding the further development of the DNK since February 2024. The goal is to enable companies to produce user-friendly sustainability reporting and to minimize bureaucratic burdens, particularly for medium-sized enterprises. The focus of the internship will be on the topics of sustainable business and finance, as well as project tasks related to the German Sustainability Code (DNK). In this context, you will take on content-related and organizational tasks, which you will carry out independently under the guidance of a supervisor. This will provide you with insight into the work of GIZ and the DNK and enrich your theoretical knowledge with practical experience. The internship is paid.
