The Activities & Aquatics Associate and reports directly to the Activities and Aquatics Manager and is responsible for delivering the aquatics experience onboard. This role will help to deliver programming to guests of all ages and will assist in executing daily activities, hosting programs, and supports with event set up and breakdown. Guest engagement is a key component of the role including leading social events, and hosting tables as required. Reports on daily operations and works to enhance and continually improve the guest experience.

Essential Duties
- Supports the Activities and Aquatics Manager and Experience Coordinator to deliver Aquatics programming. This includes set-up and breakdown of equipment, the safe operation of watersports and regular cleaning and maintenance of equipment
- Provides guests with instruction on how to safely use equipment
- Maintain safety standards and ensure adherence to protocols during aquatics activities
- Maintain records of daily operations and activities and contributes to voyage reports on the success of aquatics programs and events
- Work to enhance and continually improve the guest experience through feedback and observation
- Arrival day duties including welcoming guests on board and leading tours of the yacht
- Supports the Ritz Kids and Events team in delivering exceptional guest experience, as required
- Builds relationships with guests through hosting and/or supporting events on and off the yacht, as required. Events include but are not limited to shoreside beach events, onboard revenue, entertainment, loyalty, dining, and scenography program participation
- Participates in emergency duties and drills onboard as allocated
- Partners with The Destination Experience Team to escort guests on tours when in port to further drive guest engagement and connectivity
Qualifications
- Valid Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) and flag certification for the duration of the contract and appropriate to position.
- In possession of, or willing to obtain, Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Powerboat Level 2 Certification
- Ability to perform duties that may require physical exertion, including lifting and moving equipment, and standing for extended periods
- Adequate swimming skills and physical stamina to monitor aquatic activities and respond to emergencies effectively
- Previous experience in aquatics programming, watersports, or related roles preferred. Familiarity with delivering programming and instruction in aquatic settings
- Commitment to providing outstanding guest service and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Ability to anticipate guest needs and proactively address concerns
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is required.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The Lady or Gentleman must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- All Yacht Ladies and Gentlemen must be physically able to participate in emergency lifesaving procedures and drills. Full use and range of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal and hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency including the lowering of lifeboats. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- All Yacht Ladies and Gentlemen must be able to communicate in the English language in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, supervisors and co-workers.
