Hoffnungszeichen (Sign of Hope) is a Christian-motivated organization for human rights, humanitarian aid, and development cooperation. Based in Konstanz and Berlin, Hoffnungszeichen works worldwide to help oppressed and exploited people.

The general assembly consists of volunteer members. These members typically meet once a year and decide on amendments to the statutes and mission statement, as well as on matters of fundamental importance. The members’ responsibilities also include appointing and discharging supervisory board and management board members, and appointing an auditor.

Your tasks: 

• Integrated campaign planning within the online marketing team, with responsibility for content development and budgetary management of fundraising campaigns (SEA, Meta, etc.)
• Cross-platform development and creation of content and assets (text, images, and video/moving images); guidance of social media assistants regarding Facebook, Instagram & YouTube.
• Monitoring and reporting in cooperation with our data analysts and performance marketing experts; trend observation and analysis in online fundraising, online marketing and social media.
• Website maintenance and development, i.e., overall editorial and technical responsibility (SEO, UX, charity shop); management of content management and fundraising tools (Drupal, Fundraising-Box)
• Email marketing: Newsletter creation, distribution, and analysis (Brevo); email campaigns for fundraising (cold emailing in cooperation with agencies); measures program for acquiring email leads; long-term implementation and support of marketing automation sequences.

What you bring: 

• Degree in media, communication or economics with a focus on online marketing; alternatively, completed vocational training in a relevant field
• At least three years of professional experience in online marketing or fundraising.
• Good understanding of numbers and experience in analyzing online activities and campaigns and their metrics.
• Excellent German skills, both written and spoken; good English skills; strong affinity for content creation and storytelling
• Production experience in moving image communication (concept development, writing, editing & post-production)
• Experience regarding SEA / Performance Marketing
• Experience with content management systems (preferably Drupal), newsletter distribution systems and social media, especially Facebook.
• Solid expertise in editorial project management
• Safe use of MS Office
