GIZ Civil Peace Service (CPS) in Niger and Benin promotes the non-violent resolution of conflicts related to the use of renewable natural resources. It supports measures to strengthen social cohesion and resilience against radicalization and violent extremism.

GIZ cross-border CPS project works closely with local partner organizations and empowers civil society and state actors, particularly local governments, to ensure and shape the inclusive use of natural resources. The CPS supports local actors in addressing existing conflicts of interest through non-violent negotiation processes and dialogue platforms.
