Giving Hope Foundation Organization is your charitable partner in Uganda.  Giving Hope Foundation (GHF) is an NGO registered as a company limited without share capital. We started our work with 11 boys in the slums of Makerere Kikoni. Giving Hope (GHF) is a non-profit organisation that is helping smallholder farmers in Hoima to grow their way out of extreme poverty. We do this by promoting sustainable agriculture, climate change mitigation and promoting the well-being of smallholder communities.

Giving Hope community is located in the western neighborhood of the famous Makerere University. We have continuously and consistently been developing programs that aimed at community development and social well-being. Moreover, we use a User-Centered Design (UCD) approach in our program design. Therefore, our programs are aimed at extending and empowering unprivileged sections of local communities.

Giving Hope mostly, target unprivileged members of our communities for example, vulnerable children, unemployed youths, poor families and rural farmers among others. These are people that have been affected by poverty, lack of access to basic services, information and those that experience abuse, violence, disease and natural calamities.

Giving Hope Foundation seeks a volunteer for 8-16 hours monthly who wants to make a positive impact in East Africa through the realm of Marketing and Communication.

About Giving Hope Foundation (GHF):
GHF is a non-profit NGO dedicated to uplifting smallholder farmers in Uganda, enabling them to break free from extreme poverty, improve their health, and contribute to environmental sustainability. Our holistic approach involves providing agricultural inputs, financing, health activism, and fostering climate change adoption.

Communications/Marketing Team:
As a Social Media Manager, you’ll be part of our volunteer team in Denmark,collaborating with our team in Uganda, and actively contributing to captivating content creation across various platforms. 

You will help manage our social media accounts, as well as help create our monthly newsletter to amplify our message, increase awareness, and engage our community.

  • Meaningful Impact: Contribute to breaking the cycle of poverty and making a lasting difference in the lives of those in need.
  • Flexibility: Tailor your involvement to your schedule, with options for 1-2 or 3-4 hours per week.
  • International Collaboration: Join our diverse team, where English is our primary language, and we collaborate seamlessly to achieve our goals.
  • Be part of a community: We gather every two weeks for a couple of hours, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Desires to support social innovation and sustainability.
  • Can commit to a minimum of 3 months.
  • Can create and manage their own schedule.

As our Social Media Manager, your responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Driving a multi-channel communications strategy.
  • Growing GHF’s social media reach organically.
  • Implementing and managing social media strategy.
  • Monitoring SEO, customer engagement, and suggesting content optimization.
  • Employing strategies with paid ads and marketing tools.
  • Creating informative, interesting, and fun content.
