ActionAid is a global federation working for a world free from poverty and injustice. ActionAid want to see a just, fair and sustainable world, in which everybody enjoys the right to a life of dignity, and freedom from poverty and oppression. So we work to achieve social justice and gender equality, and to eradicate poverty.
ActionAid was founded as a charity in the UK in 1972, and soon grew its presence in countries around the world. In the 1990s, we adopted our human rights-based approach to development. ActionAid International was formed in 2003 to provide the global secretariat for the ActionAid federation of country offices.

Rich countries and corporations are largely responsible for climate change. But people living in poverty, who have done little to cause the climate problem, bear the brunt of its effects. They often live in vulnerable places such as flood plains, slums or areas decimated by drought.
Climate justice means ensuring that people who are suffering get support and compensation. People must adapt and build resilient livelihoods in the countryside as well as in cities.

The Role:
Are you ready to grow your digital activism skills with a global human rights organisation? Do you enjoy crafting creative digital strategies to pressure corporations to divest from fossil fuels and industrial agriculture? Then this might be the role for you.
The Campaigns team at ActionAid is looking for a resourceful, resilient, and grounded Digital Organiser to coordinate and support efforts across the ActionAid federation. You’ll help deploy digital and distributed strategies that turn passive citizens into active stakeholders — building political power, growing movements, connecting local struggles, and expanding our supporter base.
Who we’re looking for:
We aim to go beyond raising awareness — using online tools to inspire people to take meaningful action that leads to real-world impact and on-the-ground mobilisation.
We’re looking for someone who can design powerful supporter journeys and help align digital strategies across ActionAid offices, ensuring our work resonates with people and movements globally.
This role will provide specialist expertise and guidance to federation offices and social movement allies on how to use technology and data to identify, recruit, and activate supporters — moving them up the ladder of engagement.
What we offer:
ActionAid is committed to providing a welcoming, supportive workplace where we recognise a job well done, encourage close collaboration and sharing power, and where safeguarding standards and feminist leadership are exemplified everywhere. At ActionAid, you can look forward to a fair compensation package and a flexible working environment, including
- A workplace that embraces intersectional feminist principles
- Generous maternity, paternity and adoption pay
