Supervisor: The incumbent of this post reports to the Crisis Intervention Project coordinator. Supervisee: The incumbent of this post will supervise the Protection Social Worker.

In accordance with established Agency policy and procedures the incumbent: 1- Assists in planning, monitoring, evaluation and follow -up on all Protection of Palestine Refugees issues within the Refugees community in Southern West Bank including Refugee camps, Hebron, Bethlehem, etc. Governorates, Area C and the Jordan Valley within the framework of the overall objectives, strategies and targets of UNRWA protection principles.

2- Conducts frequent field visits to assess, monitor and report on protection conditions in communities at risk of displacement and/or impacted by military incursions and setter violence. 3- Conducts Rapid assessments, evaluation and formulate plans of action. 4- Recommend Protection cash payments for victims of forced displacement and armed conflict based on set eligibility criteria. 5- Case manages protection cases and provides progress reports also required to make internal/external referrals to specialized services in timely manner.

6- Conducts field visits to families, communities and population effected by home demolitions, military incursion, and settlers violent to asses and evaluate needs and incurred damages. 7- Prepares monitoring reports (daily, weekly and monthly) of security incidents and humanitarian issues related to the demolition/eviction/displacement/confiscation in coordination with OSO through direct contact with people and communities affected. 8- Collects data about beneficiaries from all available sources (observation, local, community, camp communities, CSO, etc.) on CIU assessment forms.

9- Implements community wide outreach activities and events targeting women, persons with disability, children, youth and men with protection concerns. 10- Implements surveys and assigned studies related to protection in the targeted refugee communities, as requested.

11- Mobilizes community support and participation in the various community based projects and activities. 12- Coordinates with other UNRWA programmes, at the operational level, to increase refugees access to UNRWA services.

13- Maintains good working relations with various partners and stakeholders. 14- Participates, as requested, in workshops and meetings intended to improve professional knowledge and skills relevant to as assigned responsibilities. 15- May be required to train newly recruited Social Workers. 16- Performs other duties as may be assigned.

At least two years’ experience in providing social work, psycho-social support or counselling in developmental /humanitarian programmes in governmental, non-governmental or NGOs organizations is required Basic computer skills is required. -Please confirm if you live/ reside in West Bank or Jerusalem?
