The Opportunity
HCA is currently seeking multiple trade qualified Field Service Fitters to join our Murrin Murrin team working on a 2 &1. In this role, your key focus will be to provide preventative and breakdown maintenance on a wide range of Hitachi Construction and Mining equipment. This permanent role will allow you to access OEM training while you build a long-term career in a global company.
To be successful in these roles you will:
- Ensure the HCA Safety Culture is embraced, displayed and driven from within – safety takes priority over everything else
- Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) Mobile Plant trade qualifications
- Have experience, knowledge and understanding of civil and mining equipment
- Excellent technical knowledge of Hitachi mining equipment would be highly advantageous

Your duties will include:
- Contribute to and lead, the development of climate adaptation knowledge, approaches and tools, working with the agriculture industry and commercial stakeholders to ensure effective outcomes and adoption.
- Provide leadership in the translation of climate science to agricultural decision making and incorporate novel approaches to scientific investigations by adapting and/or developing original concepts and ideas for existing and future research.
- Explore and implement novel approaches to integrate climate data with agricultural simulation models, advanced data science approaches (such as machine learning and AI) and domain knowhow.
- Follow and respond to trends in sustainable agriculture particularly in relation to climate change and adaptation.
- Develop relationships with Australian agricultural and agribusiness stakeholders that generate understanding of climate challenges in order to determine their needs and take personal responsibility for client satisfaction.
