GIZ project “Strengthening Socioeconomic Participation of Refugees and Host Communities in Northwestern Uganda (ParWest)” commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), aims to improve the socioeconomic participation of vulnerable refugees and host populations in the climate-change affected districts of Adjumani and Obongi.

GIZ programme aligns with Uganda’s progressive refugee policies and contributes to the BMZ Feminist Development Policy, Global Compact on Refugees (GCR), and Uganda’s National Development Plan III. The focus of the programme is to improve the socioeconomic participation of refugees and vulnerable host populations in select climate-affected districts in West Nile, Uganda.
