Job Description

8-month Fixed Term Contract- NO Relocation will be considered

To supervise and be responsible for regulatory  requirements in managing and controlling risk exposure arising within Banking,  principally from Operational and Anti-Money Laundering Risks in line with procedures and processes that exist to minimise the risk to the bank. To support the management of the Business Control Unit (‘BCU’) and act as a source of guidance and expertise within the business as appropriate for SBSA IOM Branch

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Secondary/High school/A levels/Matric

Experience Required

  • 3-4 years Ideally, a minimum of 3 years financial services experience, preferably in a Risk, AML or Compliance department, with a thorough understanding of Anti-Money Laundering and Operational Risk matters.

Additional Information

Outputs:

  • Assist the Business Control Unit Manager by providing information for the reporting of incidents and issues to the Head of Department.
  • Produce reports and information to assist the Business Control Unit Manager manage the risks faced by the business by checking various systems.
  • Assist the BCU Manager with the maintenance of the Policy and Procedures Documents of Branch and SFL, i.e. review and update when required.
  • Provide support with ad hoc projects and data cleanse activities for the Branch as required.
  • Assist in gathering documentation and information, in line with regulatory and policy requirments for new on-boarding and periodic reviews.
